I recently purchased a parallax three hybrid, in the past I had a set of lynx parallax irons, so I felt confident in purchasing the three hybrid without trying the club first, I’m now playing off single figures and I will say ‘wow’ after playing with the club over two rounds it’s filled that gap between driver and four iron. Lower trajectory and controlled distance, on the evidence of the performance of this club, if only I could test a new set lynx irons I would be more than happy to switch from Cobras
My review will be of little value, because this club was to replace a Dunlop hybrid that only cost about £10 brand new (it got a chip in it when playing a ball off a gravel footpath).
The new Lynx works just as well as the Dunlop, so job done!
At my standard of golf (77 years old and 18 handicap), I think those who pay hundreds of pounds for a new club are living in a fools paradise. Success in hitting the ball well is largely down to the ability of the golfer. I could hit the ball further with my original wooden driver (and 3 wood) than my current metal driver (and 3 metal), but I was somewhat younger!
Thoroughly satisfied with my purchase of 3 & 4 Parallax Hybrids. As well as looking good the clubs perform well from fairway and light rough lies.
The 3 Hybrid in particular has a good weight to the head which makes it easier to penetrate longer grass coverage off the fairway.
The 4 Hybrid allows you to have swing in situations where the ball is resting somewhat deeper with an immediately higher launch.
The clubs look good and at the current sale price, around £60 from Lynx Golf,, represent excellent value.
